46th Artevento Cervia - Festival Internazionale dell'Aquilone
Every spring, the beach of Pinarella di Cervia hosts the International Kite Festival.
Now in its 46th edition in 2026, the Kite Festival has become a must-see event: a vibrant celebration filled with color and breathtaking works of art soaring gracefully across the sky.
The claim for the 2026 edition is “Brother Wind.” The goal is to promote environmental care and fraternity among peoples, celebrating the deep connection between art and nature through four interconnected themes:
- The 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi
- The 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to poet Grazia Deledda
- The 40th anniversary of the twinning between the Regione Emilia-Romagna and the Prefettura di Ibaraki in Japan
- The artistic partnership between ARTEVENTO and Contemporary Circus
A unique event where wind becomes a universal language, bringing cultures together under one shared sky.
The 2026 edition of the International Kite Festival will take place from April 23rd to May 3rd on the beach of Pinarella di Cervia, set between its historic salt pans and beautiful pine forest.
For the 2026 edition, more than 200 artists from over 50 countries across 5 continents have been invited. The guest of honor this year is the Colombian artistic collective Bimana.
Don’t miss this truly one-of-a-kind spectacle that Romagna is proud to host every year.
